New
Jersey Warehousemen & Movers Association was organized in 1969
to build consumer confidence in the New Jersey
moving industry. Members meet very high performance standards
as well as NJWMA's strict code of ethics. Merit Movers is a
board member of NJWMA.

Founded in 1936, AMSA is a DC-based trade association whose
mission is to enhance the domestic and international moving and storage
industry. Merit Movers is a member of AMSA.
  It
is
important to check that any mover you are considering is licensed.
Public movers in New Jersey fall under the Regulated Business
Section in the Office of Consumer Protection in the NJ Division of
Consumer Affairs. You may check the status of any NJ
public mover license by selecting 'Public Movers and
Warehousemen' under 'Type of Licensee' and typing the name of the
company in the 'First Name' field.
Note:
Movers with warehouses have a 'PC' in
their license number. Movers without warehouses have a 'PM'
